He overlooked the fact that $65 was the fee you sent just to the company for applying on your behalf; it was also necessary to include the expedited processing fee for your passport charged by the State Dept. ($135) as well as pay shipping costs, resulting in over double the cost of applying yourself.

Applying for a passport is a straightforward process and the forms are available for free download from the State Dept. website.  What these services promise is expedited returns -- so unless you need your passport in 4 business days, I can't imagine why you would pay anyone $65 to hand-deliver your application to a passport center for you.

Hope this clears up confusion in this matter.</description>
