There are plenty of budget hotels and campgrounds in the area to cater to the backpacker or budget/student traveler that should be in the range of anyone's budget within reason. Sometimes it is okay to splurge a bit and just enjoy yourself as well. While I do agree that much of Venice is expensive and out of reach for most people you can be creative and discover new ways to save money in this city as a traveler. There are plenty of budget hotels and campgrounds in the area to cater to the backpacker or budget/student traveler that should be in the range of anyone’s budget within reason. Sometimes it is okay to splurge a bit and just enjoy yourself as well.
