hello, I am a teacher in a university, and I have been looking for a good "elephant and the blind" pictures and poem (story) to use for my lectures on "nanotechnology" and my research website -- I this this story is a good analogy to measurements in the very tiny world.

Your web page (pictures of statue and poem) is a perfect match for what I have in mind. I was wondering if I can use it for my purposes (lecture slides and research lab website). Of course, an appropriate reference and credit will be given wherever your material is shown.

Thank you!

Hi,
What a collection of most useful tips. Also be a good idea to take photographs of e tickets, tickets, drivers licence, hire car contract, International Drivers Permit, credit cards (who ever remembers the numbers on these cards), your wallet.

Just as a matter of interest to confirm the usefulness of taking pictures after an accident: on my first day in France I stopped at a railway crossing and the driver in the vehicle behind me ran into my hired car. I took pictures of the damage to the other vehicle as well. At the next town, I stopped at the police station to make a report of the accident. The police were not inclined to believe that the other driver was at fault. Showing them the photographs of the damage to the other vehicle satisfied them on that matter.

My personal rule is: Never pay more than 20 euros for a Ryanair flight!

Sometimes I get caught out when I must go somewhere within a week or two but in general you should screw Ryanair at every possible chance and NEVER buy anything on board!

They have brought down air travel yes but they treat their customers worse than livestock.

They've sucked about 70 % of the routes out of my country and to be honest - I am glad to pay a little more to feel human when traveling.

The degrading way they make passengers re-pack or pay extra is humiliating.

I always offer to help those in such cases and carry a bit of clothing.

Ryaniar makes money by cheating it's passengers and yes - it is a game. So cheat them back.

Another thing that works with most small kids: practice at home. Play "airport": put a little table next to a doorway, each of you puts shoes etc. on it, then go through the doorway. Then when it happens at the airport, it's the exciting real version of the play thing, instead of freaky scary. And if you remind them beforehand to say "thank you" to the TSA person afterward, you'll make someone's day!

Hello,

I think my boyfriend and I are about to be screwed by Ryanair too. Somehow I booked two tickets one for him and one for me under the same name- my name. I swear I did not type my name in twice, as I was very careful about reporting all of the information correctly. We booked the flight on Thursday, and I realized what happened right away. I am very dismayed that we will have to pay 100 euros to do the name change. Does anyone have prior experience with this? Should I call and even try to get the name changed without the charge? I should have known better than to fly with these crooks...

Please help!
