Each month, Less Than a Shoestring will offer a new, free desktop background for you to download, featuring a photograph from my travels and that month’s calendar for easy reference. The backgrounds should fit the majority of screens. If you find that the calendar is cut off or otherwise wonky on your monitor, please send a message via the contact form.

- How to get the image from this page to your desktop!

+ Right (or ctrl-) click on the image.
+ Save the image [hint: putting it on the desktop makes it easier to find].
+ Right (or ctrl-) click on the saved file. Select “Set as Wallpaper” or “Set as Desktop Background” or “Use Image as Desktop” from the menu. The centered image should fill the screen without stretching.

Hey hey, it might just be the settings on my browser, but I can’t directly click on the picture to open it in a new window. Not a huge deal, since there are plenty of other ways to get to the picture file and save it, but just wanted to let you know.
